Norfolk & Norwich Festival is the flagship arts festival for the East of England with a reputation for innovative and inspirational programming and commissioning. One of the big four UK international arts festivals, each May we transform and celebrate our city and county through an internationally acclaimed programme of music, theatre, literature, visual arts, circus, dance and outdoor arts.
Norfolk & Norwich Festival 2017: Friday 12 – Sunday 28 May
Open Studios 2017: Saturday 27 May – Sunday 11 June
Each May the Festival transforms our city and county with magical and inspirational artistic experiences – some created by artists who live around the corner, others who have travelled from the other side of the world.
This year you can:
- Take a ride on a giant mechanical jellyfish
- Spend the night at a choral sleepover
- Celebrate life through Summer. Autumn. Winter. Spring
- Relax on a deckchair at night under the Moon
- Enjoy a piece of theatre on a doubledecker bus tour of Norwich
The organisation has been an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation since April 2012 and is one of ten National Bridge Organisations with a mandate to develop arts and cultural opportunities for children and young people in the East of England. Norfolk & Norwich Festival is funded by Arts Council England, Norwich City Council and the generous support of other funders, sponsors and donors.
