Online Talk on Human Rights in the UAE
The violation of human rights in the UAE
On Wednesday June 10th at 7.30pm, Oscar Jenz, Amnesty International UK’s expert on the United Arab Emirates (UAE), will be giving an online talk on human rights in the UAE – home to Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Oscar will be discussing the UAE authorities’ crackdown on peaceful protest and freedom of expression, as well as the UAE’s growing role in repressing human rights across the Middle East.
This event is free and anyone is welcome to attend. You do not need to be an Amnesty member.
This talk is the latest in Hammersmith & Fulham Amnesty Group’s Spotlight talks where we explore the state of human rights in various parts of the world.
Those of you who heard Oscar speak last year about human rights in Iran will know that he is an authoritative and eloquent speaker.
To attend, please email secretaryhammersmithamnesty@outlook.com by 6pm on June 9th and they will send you the video conferencing link.
